Biosecurity measures are critical to the continued success and survival of the pig industry internationally. Many of the measures applying to the pig industry could equally be applied to other livestock sectors. This paper provides an overview of the existing strategies that apply in the pig industry and suggestions as to how these may be applied elsewhere.
