The Scottish Government is committed to Bovine Viral Diarrhoea (BVD) eradication, and phase one of supported cattle testing and an awareness programme has already started. In support of this plan BCVA has created a CPD meeting in Perth (Date To Be Confirmed), Taking the Initiative with BVD Control, that brings together speakers directly involved in both establishing the Scottish eradication scheme, and those with wide experience of BVD control and eradication. Managing Dairy Herd Fertility RVC Course – 18th – 19th May 2011
 
This practical fertility course is aimed at practitioners in general practice looking to develop their involvement in fertility management through routine visits and herd data. It will provide delegates with skills directly applicable to dealing with dairy herd fertility problems through a combination of lectures, interactive workshops and a farm visit. Interherd training and the demonstration of Herd Companion software tool is provided at a beginner level.
